The electrical parameters of the solar system are measured at the grid connection point in order to monitor the power output at any given time - independent of the inverter. In the case of larger systems with several grid connections points, separate monitoring units can be installed for each grid connection point. If several inverters are installed, it is also possible to monitor each individual inverter on the AC side in addition to monitoring of the mains power supply. The monitoring unit is available for both indoors- and outdoors installation, and is supplied with connections for current/voltage transformers, power supply, reference panel, DC and inverter communication. The electrical parameters (I, U, P, PF, E) can be monitored on site using the LCD display integrated into the front door. For connection to a network or the Internet, the monitoring unit can be fitted either with a local network (LAN), broadband (DSL) or cell phone connection (GPRS). In networks equipped with several monitoring units, one unit must possess a broadband or cell phone connection. All the other units can then be equipped with a local network connection. >>
