The reporting service is a key functionality of the Green Energy Portal. Although the reports it generates are very simple to use and understand, its configuration requires some background knowledge. The reporting- and alarming services are configured with the Tech Client that comes standard with an Installers kit. Just like all our software and graphical interfaces, configuration of the Green Energy Portal reporting service is straightforward once you have grasped the basics. This article will introduce you to access rights, measurements, timers, counters, etc. as related to reporting and will give you a good starting point when configuring your individual Green Energy Portal reports.
The Green Energy Portal captures and processes large amounts of data generated by your PV system. This includes data that shed light on the systems performance, status, behaviour, and availability.
The data collected from field sensors are processed and stored in the local D-RTU memory and periodically uploaded to the Green Energy Portal central server.
What is reporting and alarming?
The reporting feature of the Green Energy Portal gives the user easy access to the data collected by the D-RTU and assists in (i) statistical data collection and (ii) real-time fault-and error reporting. Periodic Reports can be received on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and consist of an email with an attached ZIP file; the ZIP file will contain comma separated value (CSV) files that can be viewed in a text viewer or seamlessly imported into office tools such as Excel, OpenOffice or Numbers for further processing.
