The summer in Europe draws great crowds from all over the world. Intersolar Europe is no exception and grows bigger and more impressive every year. This year’s show in Munich was very well attended, with more than 77,000 visitors and 2,280 exhibitors. As usual, natcon7’s booth stole the show in terms of our stunning booth design, friendly faces and sharp products on offer. For the first time we were able to show off our Local HMI – a browser-based human-machine interface that is completely independent of the Internet or remote access.
Green Energy Portal was again the focal point of our booth, as we showcased our iPod and iPad interfaces, Tech Client on a desktop computer and demonstrated actual working versions of our D-RTU – the heart and soul of the Green Energy Portal.
The majority of questions we received from visitors to the natcon7 booth centered on the instant messaging features of the Green Energy Portal. There seems to be widespread dissatisfaction with the ability of other vendors’ alarming systems to provide real-time feedback of system status. The Green Energy Portal is able to address these concerns with its robust design, industrial-grade equipment and advanced functionality.
There was also significant interest from European customers in SCADA solutions for solar PV plants. With recent decreases in PV panel prices, installation sizes and system complexity have increased dramatically; the need for more complex and robust control and automation systems for solar PV is now more acute than ever.
